Tay comes with a lot of experience when it comes to speed work. He is a
former professional track and field athlete from Columbus, GA. He is a graduate of Western
Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management and a Masters Degree in
Intercollegiate Athletic Administration.
In high school, Tay was a state champion and one of the top athletes in the Class of 2013. Once
arriving at WKU, he left his mark. He led WKU into top 25 rankings for the first time in school
history, finished as 10x All-American (Most in School History), 23x All-Conference Honors, and
2 Conference Athlete of the Year Awards.
After college he turned pro and finished top 10 in the country at the USA Championships. Tay
has a passion for coaching, so he decided to retire from competing and went back to his alma
mater and served as an assistant coach. He is USATF Level 1 Certified, and had had the luxury
of coaching several Conference Champions, All Americans, and Olympians.
Outside of coaching, Tay loves spending time with his family. He is married to Modesty Sears
